Monstrous Earth: Descent into Insignificance
Graduation Project Audio | Narrative

An inescapable monstrosity exists in living on a planet that resists knowing it completely, where our existence may be inconsequential to the Earth’s relentless forces, yet we rely on it entirely for our sustenance. Monstrous Earth is a sky tale exploring this tension, mediating the planet from an Earthbound position, rather than through the detached gaze of orbital imagery.

The spatialized audio narrative resists the fiction of planetary mastery. In the absence of visual certainty, listeners encounter shifting voices, collapsing time scales, cosmic whispers, and body horror through a disorienting and fragmented script. By amplifying our inherent entanglement with the Earth’s geological and temporal processes, the work invites a fall into the terror of its unfathomable complexity, with tensions that cannot be resolved.
